Brussels - a new call to the old country

Why send missionaries to Europe?

Isn’t Europe a Christian continent? We go to Europe for vacation and to the rest of the world for missions. But Europe is more than its historic buildings, quaint old streets, and cozy cafes. Europe is people who need Christ—and reproducing churches that advance his kingdom.

Planting reproducing churches in Europe. The Deals will be working with Christian Associates International. CAI has a vision of planting one or more high-impact churches in 50 cities in Europe by 2010. CAI believes the future of Europe will be determined by young people in its emerging culture. Europeans in their 20s and 30s are postmodern, globally minded, highly relational, techno-driven, multi-lingual, and spiritually open. Methods and ministries that reach Europe’s emerging culture will need to be relational, relevant, artistic, international, and authentic.

The Deals believe God has prepared them for this work. They have been taking steps towards church planting in Europe for almost 20 years. Their children, now in their teenage years, also believe God is calling their family to Brussels. But they are not going to Brussels alone! The Deals will be leading a team of church planters, talented and godly people whom the Lord is bringing together, some from the U.S., and some from Europe.

Consider joining this team. More long-term members are needed. Short-term members are welcome, including regular and occasional visitors. Interns, supporters, prayer partners – even people who will join a “virtual team” – are all needed.
